On Monday, July 15, Customs Jember facilitated the export of hundreds of cigars from CV Dwipa Nusantara Tobacco (DNT) to the Thai market. This export endeavor opens new opportunities for the domestic industry to expand its market internationally and grow sustainably."The exported commodity consists of 614 Joker brand cigars, and this export realization is one of the outcomes of Customs Jember's Export Clinic, which is conducted continuously," stated Asep Munandar, Head of Customs Jember. He emphasized the crucial role of Customs in supporting national exports. This role encompasses three main activities: supporting export-oriented industries with customs facilities, providing user-friendly export procedures, and encouraging SMEs to participate in export activities and the global value chain."Exports provide opportunities for the domestic industry to expand its market and grow sustainably. We are committed to supporting domestic industries in executing exports, particularly through providing export socialization and assistance," he added.Kevin, Chief Executive Officer of DNT, mentioned that this export is part of their business expansion efforts following previous exports to Malaysia. "Hopefully, this will be sustainable, as this year we are focusing on introducing our cigar products to expand our international market reach," he concluded.
