The Directorate General of Small, Medium, and Various Industries at the Ministry of Industry (Ditjen IKMA Kemenperin) hosted the Startup4Industry Investment Summit 2024. This forum aims to significantly boost the development of tech startups in Indonesia. Director General Reni Yanita stated that the summit connects selected startups from the Startup4Industry program with potential investors, both domestic and international. The goal is to provide inclusive funding opportunities, accelerate growth, and foster innovation in the industrial sector. "Startup4Industry Investment Summit 2024 is expected to be a technology transformation accelerator in Indonesia. This program provides a platform for startups to present their tech solutions to investors, receive valuable feedback, and establish strategic partnerships," said Reni on Sunday, 21 July 2024. The launch of the Startup4Industry Investment Summit 2024 marked the conclusion of the Tech Link Summit 2024, a forum connecting tech startups with manufacturers in Indonesia. This event, designed for industries, technology startups, and other stakeholders, officially ended on 20 July 2024, signifying a new chapter in accelerating industrial technology transformation in Indonesia.
Reni emphasized the importance of a comprehensive evaluation of Tech Link Summit 2024 to measure its real impact and formulate more effective strategies for Tech Link Summit 2025. "This is also Kemenperin's commitment to continuously promoting collaboration between startups and industry players," she added. Tech Link Summit 2024 was not only a meeting place for startups and industry players but also a platform for cross-sector collaboration. The involvement of the Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration, along with the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), demonstrates the government's seriousness in driving technology transformation across all societal and economic sectors. The event successfully brought together dozens of startups and industry players, creating mutually beneficial collaboration opportunities and strengthening Indonesia's inclusive startup ecosystem.
