SIEXPO 2024 will showcase a variety of products and innovations in the palm oil plantation industry from August 8-10, 2024, at the Pekanbaru Convention and Exhibition in Riau. Organized by Sawit Indonesia Magazine and supported by the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS), this annual event serves as a meeting point for palm oil industry players and supporting industries, aiming to boost productivity and build partnerships among stakeholders. The Chairman of the SIEXPO 2024 Organizing Committee, Qayuum Amri, stated that this year's theme, "Partnerships and Strategies for Strengthening the Productivity of Indonesia's Palm Oil Industry," was chosen due to the stagnation in palm oil productivity in recent years. Collaboration between companies and farmers is essential to address this issue and ensure Indonesia's palm oil supply meets demand. Qayuum mentioned plans to invite Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, to provide guidance and officially open the event. His presence is expected to offer strategic insights for the development of Indonesia's palm oil industry, particularly in Riau.
SIEXPO 2024 will feature 120 exhibitors, primarily from supporting industries. Products and technological innovations on display will include palm oil seeds, heavy equipment, fertilizers, agrochemicals, certification services, chemical products, design and fabrication services, agricultural machinery, harvesting tools, internet services, data analysis tools, laboratory equipment, and automotive products. "SIEXPO 2024 will also include exhibitors from countries such as Malaysia, China, Costa Rica, and Argentina. Although this event has only been held for two years, it has received positive responses from industry players," he added. This year, the event is expected to attract 3,500 visitors over three days, up from 1,800 visitors in 2023. Exhibitors will include plantation companies, palm oil mills, refineries, farmers, cooperatives, and communities from various regions, including Riau, West Sumatra, North Sumatra, and Jambi. SIEXPO 2024 is also part of the 67th anniversary celebration of Riau Province. The public can visit the exhibition free of charge by registering through the provided link. In addition to the exhibition, the committee will host the SIEXPO 2024 Conference, featuring 20 speakers in various sessions and discussion topics, covering partnerships, ISPO, productivity, ganoderma, palm oil mills, and downstream industries.
