In the first quarter of this year, the Government of West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) achieved investment realization amounting to IDR 8.84 trillion, which is equivalent to 33% of the national target and 35% of the regional target. Of this total, domestic investment (PMDN) reached IDR 6.51 trillion, while foreign investment (PMA) amounted to IDR 2.33 trillion. This investment has contributed to the employment of 6,914 local workers and 66 foreign workers from January to March 2024. The largest contributors to this investment were the energy and mineral resources sector with IDR 5.56 trillion, followed by industry with IDR 1.84 trillion, and tourism with IDR 762 billion. Additionally, trade contributed IDR 286 billion, transportation IDR 130 billion, and labor IDR 104 billion. The positive trend in investment in West Nusa Tenggara Province reflects ongoing growth, driven significantly by national strategic projects such as the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK) and Smelter Projects. In previous years, investment in the province showed substantial increases, totaling IDR 13.91 trillion in 2021, rising to IDR 21.60 trillion in 2022, and reaching IDR 14.72 trillion in 2023.
