West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government Records IDR 8.84 Trillion in Investment Realization

The Provincial Government of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) reported an investment realization of IDR 8.84 trillion in the first quarter of this year, achieving 33% of the national target and 35% of the regional target. "Domestic investment (PMDN) amounted to IDR 6.51 trillion, while foreign investment (PMA) reached IDR 2.33 trillion," said Acting Head of the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Agency (DPMPTSP) of West Nusa Tenggara, Wahyu Hidayat, in Mataram, NTB, on Wednesday. From January to March 2024, the investment realization successfully absorbed 6,914 local workers and 66 foreign workers.

Wahyu mentioned that the three largest contributing sectors to the investment realization were the energy and mineral resources sector with IDR 5.56 trillion, the industrial sector with IDR 1.84 trillion, and the tourism sector with IDR 762 billion. "These are followed by the trade sector at IDR 286 billion, the transportation sector at IDR 130 billion, and the labor sector at IDR 104 billion," he added. Investment development in West Nusa Tenggara has consistently shown a positive trend year after year. This growth is partly due to the multiplier effect of national strategic projects such as the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK) and the Smelter Project. DPMPTSP West Nusa Tenggara recorded that the investment realization reached IDR 13.91 trillion in 2021, significantly increasing to IDR 21.60 trillion in 2022, and amounting to IDR 14.72 trillion in 2023.
