Muhammad Suaib Sulaiman, Secretary of the Directorate General of National Export Development, welcomed Evie Fatmawaty, Head of the Department of Industry and Trade of Lampung Province, to the Ministry of Trade office in Jakarta on July 8th. During their meeting, Evie conveyed her hopes for the Ministry of Trade to support Lampung Province in boosting exports, particularly from the SME sector. She highlighted their efforts in identifying various opportunities and challenges faced by export-oriented SMEs in Lampung.
Muhammad Suaib reaffirmed the Ministry of Trade's commitment through the Directorate General of National Export Development to assist the local government in enhancing export activities. He discussed a range of programs and initiatives that can be aligned with Lampung's objectives, such as export certifications and trade promotions. Additionally, Muhammad Suaib extended an invitation to Lampung's exporters to participate in the upcoming 39th Trade Expo Indonesia, scheduled for October. The meeting also included representatives from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, who discussed the utilization of decentralization funds aimed at developing foreign trade facilitation in regional areas.
