Riyanto, the Operational Director of PT ANPING Seafood Indonesia in Bitung City, highlighted the expanding export market for Sulawesi Utara's tuna, reaching beyond traditional destinations like the United States, China, and Asia to include New Zealand. He emphasized robust demand for tuna products such as Tuna Saku, Tuna Steak, and Tuna Center Cut, particularly from buyers in these countries. However, he also noted a recent downturn in export volumes compared to the significant increases seen in the preceding two years.
The seafood company's operations underscore a shift in global demand patterns for Indonesian tuna, with Talaud fisheries playing a pivotal role due to their substantial output. This trend is reflected in recent export data, indicating strong interest and consumption of these tuna products across international markets. Despite the current challenges in maintaining peak export levels, PT ANPING Seafood Indonesia remains optimistic about the long-term prospects, aiming to navigate fluctuations and sustain its position in the competitive global seafood trade.
