52 Tons of Lampung's Resin Products Exported to Ethiopia

A total of 52 tons of resin products from Lampung Province were exported to Ethiopia. The export ceremony took place at Panjang Container Terminal on Wednesday, 3 July 2024, and was attended by the Assistant for General Administration, Senen Mustakim, representing the Acting Governor of Lampung, Samsudin. The Lampung Provincial Government, in collaboration with the Bank Indonesia Representative Office in Lampung, Pelindo, Bukit Asam, and several other companies, successfully dispatched 52 tons (2 containers) of resin products to Ethiopia. Senen Mustakim expressed his appreciation for this inaugural export, emphasizing its role in supporting SMEs, which are vital to Lampung's economy. "On behalf of the Lampung Provincial Government, I welcome this export initiative as a means to motivate business players, especially SMEs, to advance their businesses and penetrate export markets," stated Senen Mustakim. He also extended gratitude to all stakeholders for their continued support of Lampung's economic performance. "I would like to thank the Bank Indonesia Representative Office in Lampung for always supporting economic performance improvements in Lampung through investments and exports. I also appreciate the contribution of stakeholders involved in the Lampung Export Forum (FELA) for their role in enhancing and facilitating exports in Lampung," he added.

Senen Mustakim urged all stakeholders to continue synergizing with the Lampung Provincial Government to boost exports through comprehensive support, particularly for SMEs. "This will empower Lampung's high-production products, which currently only meet local market demands, to reach export markets, thus increasing their value," he explained. The inaugural resin export to Ethiopia is expected to open new market opportunities for other Lampung products. "I hope this initial export will pave the way for more exports of new commodities and to other countries. Hopefully, more SMEs will be motivated to improve their quality and capacity, enabling them to penetrate export markets and enhance the welfare of farmers, businesses, and the wider community," he concluded. This initiative marks a significant step in promoting Lampung's economic growth through increased international trade and SME empowerment.
