PT ABM Investama Tbk's subsidiary, PT Cipta Krida Bahari (CKB Logistics), is actively contributing to the national economy, as demonstrated by its participation in the Indonesia Coal Summit 2024. The summit, themed "The Resilience of Coal: Powering a Sustainable Future," focuses on the sustainability and resilience of the coal industry while promoting a cleaner environment for the future. Iman Sjafei, CEO of CKB Logistics, expressed appreciation for the government's and associations' efforts to make coal a significant contributor to the national economy. The coal sector greatly supports Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP), Community Development and Empowerment Programs (PPM), and employment. "CKB Logistics, as a supply chain solution provider for the mining industry, is committed to sustainable business practices. We hope this event will foster growth and continue supporting the national economy," said Iman.
This year's Indonesia Coal Summit, in collaboration with the Indonesia Mining Association (IMA), the Indonesian Coal Mining Association (APBI), the Indonesian Mining Experts Association (Perhapi), PD East Kalimantan, and the East Kalimantan Mining Technical Heads Forum (FKTT), aims to evaluate the sustainability and future resilience of the coal industry. The event is expected to present both opportunities and challenges for a more sustainable coal mining industry. CKB Logistics, established in 1997, emphasizes sustainable business practices by offering comprehensive end-to-end logistics solutions tailored to customer needs, while prioritizing safety standards. This focus distinguishes CKB Logistics from other logistics companies. Samarinda Mayor Andi Harun highlighted the summit's importance as a platform for mining stakeholders to discuss current issues and share best practices. He expressed hope that the event would promote continuous and consistent efforts in developing sustainable businesses, thereby contributing to national revenue. "Indonesia Coal Summit provides a valuable opportunity for stakeholders to gather, share, and discuss sustainable mining practices. We appreciate everyone's participation and look forward to ongoing contributions to national development," concluded Andi.
