An open discussion titled "Coral Reef Conservation for Sustainable Creative Economy in East Flores" was organized by Titik Kumpul Community as part of the Mini Festival Titik Kumpul, held at Talud Laut, Larantuka Subdistrict, Larantuka City, East Flores. The event addressed various issues related to coral reef conservation and the sustainability of the creative economy in East Flores. The discussion began with a presentation by the Head of Larantuka Subdistrict, Petrus Ignasius Wungubelen, who explained the community's efforts in closing off the sea to preserve coral reefs, providing marine environment education, and developing the creative economy in the coastal area of the subdistrict. "For the past year, we have closed off the sea to protect the coral reefs in Larantuka Subdistrict," Petrus explained. The discussion continued with insights and presentations from various attendees, discussing the main duties and functions of their respective institutions in maintaining marine environment conservation and developing a community-based creative economy. Participants included the Secretary of East Flores Regency, the Head of the Marine and Fisheries Service, the Head of the Population and Civil Registration Service, the Secretary of the Tourism and Culture Service, the Secretary of the Cooperative and SMEs Service, the Pasipers of Kodim 1624/FloTim, and the Head of the Environmental Division of the East Flores Regency Environmental Service.

The Secretary of East Flores Regency, Petrus Pedo Maran, emphasized in his presentation that the government always supports all initiatives arising from the community, both in resource utilization and creative economy development. "All these activities grow from the community, let them continue to grow, and the government will support them," Petrus stated. The open discussion was highly active, with the audience posing various questions to delve deeper into the discussion topics. The event became livelier with door prizes from the event sponsors, Suryanation Gudang Garam Merah and Nagi Karunia Jaya. Fundamentally, the government encourages all community-based activities, especially those related to marine conservation that support the development of the creative economy. Larantuka Subdistrict can serve as a role model with its ongoing activities, thereby realizing the implementation of Article 33 Paragraph 3 of the 1945 Constitution for the prosperity of the people.
