The maritime sector in Sukabumi Regency holds significant revenue potential, particularly in aquaculture. To leverage this potential, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo) has collaborated with the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP), the Sukabumi Fisheries Service, the Sukabumi Kominfo Office, and the startup eFishery to develop digital transformation for fish farmers. The digital farmer program in Sukabumi, supported by the Directorate General of Aquaculture, KKP, and led by the maritime sector, is a result of this collaboration with eFishery. The implementation of Automatic Feeder Adoption can assist farmers in feeding, increasing feeding efficiency, optimizing feed use, and reducing feed waste, thereby boosting farmers' income potential. This technology helps maintain water quality, ensures timely and diverse feed delivery, and saves time and labor.
The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has commended the participants. Farmers joining this program will become more productive and efficient, capable of producing high-quality fish with increased market value. This program is expected to serve as a pilot project that can continue to form a sustainable aquaculture ecosystem, produce high-quality products, and help improve the welfare of small-scale farmers.
