The West Manggarai Regency government, through its Food Security and Fisheries Office (KP2), has successfully exported 5.5 tons of grouper and mackerel to Singapore, Malaysia, and Taiwan from January to May 2024. Fatinci Reynilda, Head of the KP2, stated that the local government remains committed to supporting and facilitating fishermen in enhancing their export potential. Total fish exports from January to May 2024 have reached 5,543 kilograms," Fatinci reported on Monday, 24 June 2024, as cited by RRI. In addition to grouper and mackerel, West Manggarai also exports lobster, shrimp, and blood cockles.
