The Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and SMEs (Disperindagkop) of East Kalimantan Province supervised the distribution of subsidized fertilizers in Tenggarong Seberang District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. Led by Syahrani, Head of Consumer Protection and Trade Order (PKTN) of Disperindagkop UKM Kaltim, the team included representatives from the East Kalimantan Provincial Secretariat's Economic Bureau, East Kalimantan Police, the Department of Industry and Trade of Kutai Kartanegara Regency, Pupuk Indonesia in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, the Food Security Office of Kutai Kartanegara Regency, and other relevant agencies. They visited several key points including Kios Sido Makmur in Bangun Rejo Village, the Sari Bumi Farmers Group, and Kios Putri Kumala in Budi Daya Hamlet. Syahrani emphasized that the visit aimed to ensure the proper distribution of subsidized fertilizers, complying with Law No. 8 of 1969, which mandates the supervision of circulating goods, including subsidized fertilizers. This initiative aims to confirm that the fertilizers are distributed according to the regulations and used appropriately by farmers.
Syahrani also addressed issues regarding the price and usage of fertilizers by farmers and mentioned plans to recommend Pupuk Indonesia to improve the application for fertilizer distribution. This would make it more accessible to villagers who often face signal problems. He expressed hopes to facilitate the community in obtaining subsidized fertilizers by resolving existing issues, particularly those related to the application due to signal problems. Recommendations will be made to ensure this problem is resolved promptly. This supervision activity aims to guarantee that subsidized fertilizers reach the farmers who need them at appropriate prices and through proper distribution channels. This initiative is expected to significantly aid in maintaining the integrity of subsidized fertilizer distribution and ensuring that it benefits the intended recipients, thereby supporting local agricultural productivity and sustainability.
