Indonesian information and communication technology (ICT) products are increasingly popular in international markets, particularly in Taiwan. The Taiwanese market has the potential for transactions worth USD 8.9 million, equivalent to IDR 146.45 billion. Mardyana Listyowati, Acting Director General of National Export Development at the Ministry of Trade, explained that this substantial transaction potential was evident during the InnoVEX 2024 exhibition held from June 4 to 7, 2024, at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center in Taipei, Taiwan. The transaction value emerged from business meetings between all participants of the Indonesian Pavilion and 120 potential buyers from personal networks and walk-in meetings. InnoVEX 2024 is part of COMPUTEX, Taiwan's largest technology event since 1981, serving as a benchmark for global ICT companies. The exhibition featured over 400 startups from more than 30 countries and regions.

During the four-day event, InnoVEX 2024 attracted 32.850 visitors, while COMPUTEX 2024 overall was attended by 80,000 visitors. "The Taiwanese market is increasingly interested in Indonesian ICT products. This clearly presents an opportunity for Indonesia's ICT industry to expand its market overseas," Mardyana said in an official statement on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. She noted that Indonesia's participation was based on the consideration that InnoVEX 2024 is a significant event that offers opportunities to open markets, build, and expand business networks. Mardyana expressed hope that Indonesian ICT products will become more popular and considered a top export product. "We hope Indonesian ICT products will become more recognized and become one of Indonesia's leading export products in the Taiwanese market," she said.
