The Directorate General of Politics and General Governance of the Ministry of Home Affairs is organizing the Indonesia Maju Expo & Forum 2024 as a form of support for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The Indonesia Maju Expo & Forum 2024 will be held from July 4 to July 7 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). “Through this event, it is hoped that a constructive communication space and a means to increase production to meet domestic needs and attract investment interest can be created,” said Acting Director of National Vigilance of the Directorate General of Politics and General Governance, Ministry of Home Affairs, Andi Baso Indra, in his statement in Jakarta on Thursday. He explained that MSMEs are an important pillar for Indonesia's economic development, continuously encouraged to advance.
Thus, MSMEs can contribute more significantly to the economy and absorb more labor. Andi stated that the Indonesia Maju Expo & Forum 2024 is the government's effort to connect producers with consumers, fostering mutually beneficial business relationships. “The ultimate goal is to connect producers with consumers, and then from business to the community that will buy those products. This is part of the government's efforts,” he said. Furthermore, Andi emphasized the need for support from various parties to ensure the success of the event, as the Indonesia Maju Expo & Forum 2024 can serve as a platform for stakeholders to contribute to economic growth through arts, culture, and MSMEs. “For that, we express our gratitude to all parties supporting this event,” Andi explained. Andi also urged all regional governments to help make the event a success. “We encourage regional governments to provide maximum support for the organization of this event,” he added.
