Ahead of the Idul Adha celebrations, the prices of several staple commodities such as rice, soybeans, chili, and meat have experienced increases. According to the National Food Agency's (Bapanas) Price Panel monitoring on Monday (June 10) at 12:12 PM WIB, the price of rice increased by 0.32% to IDR 15,480 per kg, medium rice rose by 0.15% to IDR 13,420 per kg, and imported dried soybeans increased by 0.33% to IDR 12,130 per kg.
Director General of Domestic Trade at the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, Isy Karim, stated that while there has been a price increase in some commodities such as chili, prices for red onions and garlic have actually decreased. To ensure the security of supply and food prices ahead of Idul Adha, the Ministry of Trade, along with related ministries and agencies, continues to coordinate to ensure the supply and price stability of three main commodities under the Ministry's monitoring: flour, fish, and cooking oil.
