Yogyakarta's Wood Product Exports Open New Economic Opportunities

PT Homliv Anugerah Tritunggal Indonesia and PT Ruby Artisan International have exported 4,289 cartons of wooden kitchen and dining utensils to Japan. The export, valued at USD 143,871 (approximately IDR 2.3 billion), was facilitated by PT. MSA Kargo Yogyakarta on Monday, 27 June 2024. The Yogyakarta Customs Office played an active role in ensuring the success of this export. Their responsibilities included overseeing the stuffing of the goods, managing the necessary documentation, and sealing the containers before shipment. Riri Riani, Head of Information and Counseling Services at the Customs Office, highlighted the significance of this event for the local economy. She pointed out that this initial export venture demonstrates Yogyakarta's strong economic potential on the international stage. The products were shipped from Tanjung Emas Port using a 40-foot container on Wednesday, 29 June 2024. Riri Riani, Head of Information and Counseling Services at Customs Office Yogyakarta, stated that this initial export opens up significant opportunities for the local woodcraft industry in Yogyakarta. “This export is a testament to Yogyakarta's economic potential in the international market,” she emphasized.
