Banten's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have successfully entered the export market, with transactions during the Karya Kreatif Banten (KKB) and Digiwara Fun Fest 2024, organized by the Bank Indonesia (BI) Representative Office in Banten Province, reaching IDR 8.59 billion. "The value of export transactions reached IDR 8.95 billion, while domestic transactions amounted to IDR 576 million," stated Ameriza M. Moesa, Head of BI Banten, during the closing of KKB and Fun Fest 2024 at Bintaro Jaya Xchange Mall on Sunday, June 9, 2024. Ameriza views this as the beginning of further development rather than a final success. "This is just a small part of our efforts. Hopefully, this event will inspire and motivate further development of SMEs throughout Banten," he said. Approximately 10 SME products were exported to international markets, including business matching activities, which were a key objective of KKB 2024.
Ameriza also reported that KKB attracted 55,800 daily visits across both mall locations. Additionally, educational sessions on digitalization were held, and 932 individuals participated in various competitions. "Over five days, we successfully recorded SME transactions worth IDR 2.4 billion. Overall, the event accumulated economic transactions totaling IDR 13.5 billion, including activities since May," Ameriza added. Prior to KKB and Digiwara Fun Fest 2024 at Bintaro Jaya Xchange Mall, various activities had already been conducted. "We hope this event will further promote development, strengthen collaboration, and enhance digitalization for SMEs, the community, and local governments, including tax and levy payments," he remarked. South Tangerang Mayor Benyamin Davnie welcomed the KKB and Digiwara Fun Fest 2024 enthusiastically. "The spirit of collaboration is strong. Thanks to the participation of creative entrepreneurs and digital communities. This is Tangsel," he said. He emphasized that with such significant transaction values, SMEs are transforming from small and medium enterprises into independent creative businesses generating billions in revenue. The closing of KKB and Digiwara 2024 was enlivened by a performance from artist Salma Salsabil.
