KirimAja has partnered with the Indonesian Retail Entrepreneurs Association (Aprindo) to enhance logistics services for the export and import activities of MSME products for both domestic and international markets as a Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier (NVOCC). "This collaboration is a strategic step for KirimAja to support the expansion of Indonesian MSMEs into the Chinese market. We believe that with APRINDO's experience and network, together with KirimAja, Indonesian MSMEs will find it easier to reach global markets," explained Hari Agung Saputra, Director of PT Aerojasa Cargo (KirimAja), in an official statement on Tuesday (4/6/2024). Agung aims for the total logistics transactions to reach IDR 5 billion this year, with a significant contribution from the export facility partnership with Aprindo. "This collaboration with Aprindo will further increase our growth," he added.
Previously, Aprindo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Aerojasa Cargo (KirimAja), a subsidiary of PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk (GIAA), to expand the export of MSME retail products to global markets. Aprindo Chairman, Roy Nicholas Mandey, explained that Aprindo is currently involved in a series of export activities for private label and MSME retail products, in partnership with the Busan Indonesia Center (BIC) in Busan, South Korea, and several aggregators in Shanghai and Fuzhou Fujian, mainland China. Roy hopes this partnership will streamline the supply chain and make the export process of MSME products more efficient. He envisions that entering the global market will allow MSME products to access a broader market niche and elevate their status. "This collaboration bridges the supply chain in the modern retail sector. We understand that we need to advance, regardless of the industry. Our efforts aim to elevate our status and encourage retailers to leverage this partnership for international exports," he said.
