As the final activity of his working visit to the State of Chihuahua, the Indonesian Ambassador and the Economic Function team stopped in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, for a business dinner with Los Mochis’ Minister of Economy, Hector Ibarra, and local entrepreneurs on 22 March 2024. During the dinner, the Indonesian Ambassador presented an overview of Indonesia, while Minister Hector and his economic officials shared various economic regulations and investment promotion strategies. The attending entrepreneurs were from sectors such as real estate, agriculture, transportation, and travel agencies, alongside representatives from Sinaloa’s economic and foreign investment promotion office (SEDOSIN). The Ambassador noted SEDOSIN’s interest in learning about Indonesia's mechanisms for sustainable tourism. The visit to Los Mochis by the Indonesian Ambassador and the Economic Function team was made via the panoramic Chepe Express Train from Creel, a magical town in Chihuahua, located in the heart of Sierra Tarahumara, also known as Las Barrancas del Cobre. The journey spanned approximately 9 hours, covering more than 350 km, traversing some of Mexico's most impressive mountainous regions, including several tunnels and bridges.
