The Kalteng Provincial Plantation Office (Disbun) once again participated in the Kalteng Expo 2024 event organized by the Kalteng Provincial Government, held at the Temanggung Tilung Exhibition Arena in Palangka Raya. Kalteng Expo 2024, running from May 11th to May 15th, 2024, is part of ongoing efforts to promote the advancement of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) and Small and Medium Industries (IKM) in Central Kalimantan. This event, held in collaboration with CV. Sola Gracia Production, is also a celebration of the 67th anniversary of the establishment of the Kalteng Provincial Government. During Kalteng Expo 2024, the Kalteng Provincial Plantation Office collaborated with UMKM supported by plantation companies in Central Kalimantan to showcase various derivative products from plantation commodities in the region.
Rizky R. Badjuri, the head of the Kalteng Provincial Plantation Office, explained that the products displayed at the Disbun booth represent the successful development of plantations in Central Kalimantan. These products include cooking oil, brown sugar, virgin coconut oil (VCO), pepper, coffee, chocolate, and more. While Central Kalimantan is known for its main commodities such as palm oil, rubber, and coconut, recent years have seen the development of coffee and cocoa, particularly in the eastern districts of Murung Raya, North Barito, South Barito, and East Barito. The hope is that these commodities will contribute to the welfare of the local communities in the future. On the third day of Kalteng Expo 2024, the Disbun booth continues to attract crowds of visitors seeking information about plantations and purchasing various attractive products. Additionally, lucky visitors receive door prizes distributed by the Disbun booth.
