He noted that the sector's target for the year is IDR 35 trillion. Sandiaga emphasized that President Joko Widodo has set an overall investment target of IDR 1,650 trillion for 2024, with the tourism and creative economy sectors expected to contribute approximately 4% of this total, translating to around IDR 100 trillion. To meet this goal, the sectors need to secure investments ranging from IDR 80 to 100 trillion. The minister highlighted efforts to attract investors from the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the United States to invest in Indonesia. The government has identified several potential investment areas, including hotels, restaurants, and tourist villages. Sandiaga outlined investment opportunities in hotel, restaurant, and café developments, as well as resort tourism, tourism estate development, and tourism planning for super-priority destinations and tourist villages. This strategic approach aims to bolster Indonesia's tourism and creative economy sectors, enhancing their contribution to the national investment targets and overall economic growth.
