The Kalteng Provincial Plantation Office (Disbun) actively engaged in the Kalteng Expo 2024 event, organized by the Kalteng Provincial Government at the Temanggung Tilung Exhibition Arena in Palangka Raya. Kalteng Expo 2024, held from May 11th to May 15th, 2024, aimed to bolster the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) and Small and Medium Industries (IKM) in Central Kalimantan. Collaborating with CV. Sola Gracia Production, the event also commemorated the 67th anniversary of the Kalteng Provincial Government's establishment. During the expo, Disbun partnered with UMKM supported by local plantation companies to exhibit various derivative products from regional plantation commodities.
Head of Disbun, Rizky R. Badjuri, highlighted that the showcased products represent the prosperous growth of plantations in Central Kalimantan. These items range from cooking oil, brown sugar, and virgin coconut oil (VCO) to pepper, coffee, and chocolate. While Central Kalimantan traditionally thrives on palm oil, rubber, and coconut, recent years witnessed the emergence of coffee and cocoa cultivation, particularly in eastern districts like Murung Raya, North Barito, South Barito, and East Barito. The aspiration is for these commodities to significantly contribute to the welfare of local communities in the coming years. On the third day of Kalteng Expo 2024, the Disbun booth remained a focal point, attracting numerous visitors interested in plantation-related information and purchasing various appealing products. Additionally, fortunate attendees received door prizes courtesy of the Disbun booth.
