Bea Cukai Gresik, in collaboration with Export Center Surabaya, facilitated the export of fish products from PT Danendra Sembagi Arutala, specifically wahoo mackerel and tuna, to Vietnam on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. Eko Rudi Hartono, Head of Customs Education and Information Services at Bea Cukai Gresik, stated that the exported products have a total value of USD 239,000. Eko explained that this export aims to showcase the excellence of Indonesia’s export infrastructure and enhance the global competitiveness of Indonesian products. "The strong collaboration between all relevant parties significantly boosts economic growth and provides international exposure for Indonesia’s marine industry," Eko noted in a press release on Monday, May 13, 2024.
The export activity was also supported by the Directorate of Market Development and Export Information (P2IE) of the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag). "This collaboration marks a significant moment for both the government and private sector to continue expanding Indonesia's export market and enhancing the competitiveness of domestic products," Eko added. He emphasized that with robust infrastructure, efficient procedures, and a commitment to maintaining high quality, Indonesia can successfully export various products globally. "This is evident in the export of frozen wahoo mackerel and tuna," he stated. PT Danendra Sembagi Arutala, located in Brondong District, Lamongan Regency, specializes in producing marine fish, particularly wahoo mackerel and tuna. The company successfully shipped two 40-foot containers filled with wahoo mackerel and tuna to Vietnam. This export event highlights the synergy between government entities and private companies in strengthening Indonesia's position in the global market through efficient and quality-driven export practices.
