PT Sukses Komerindo successfully conducted its inaugural export of gloves to Australia. The export took place via Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang, on Tuesday, April 30th. Leveraging the ease of import-export facilities for small and medium enterprises (KITE IKM), the Yogyakarta-based company reaped benefits including exemption from import duties and no VAT/PPnBM charges for the import of raw materials, machinery, and samples, in accordance with Minister of Finance Regulation No. 177/PMK.04/2016 jo.110/PMK.04/2019.
According to Riri Riani, Head of the Counseling and Information Services Section of Yogyakarta Customs, a total of 20 cartons or 5,868 pieces of gloves were successfully exported. She emphasized that providing KITE IKM facilities is part of Customs' role as a trade facilitator and industrial assistant. This initiative underscores Customs' commitment to supporting domestic industries to compete and expand their market share internationally. Riani expressed hope that these customs facilities would benefit PT Sukses Komerindo and other businesses in Yogyakarta, thereby contributing to the smooth functioning of the national economy.
