Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), Suharso Monoarfa, revealed that the total investment for the development of the Nusantara Capital (IKN) has reached IDR 49.6 trillion. This was disclosed during the National Development Planning Meeting 2024 at JCC Senayan Jakarta. Suharso stated that this investment has been demonstrated through five groundbreaking ceremonies marking the commencement of various facility constructions in IKN, financed by non-government budgets.
The groundbreaking stages 1 to 5 serve as the foundation for establishing the ecosystem in IKN, encompassing public facilities, government offices, entertainment venues, shopping centers, hotels, and sports facilities. Bappenas reaffirmed the project's sustainability through the National Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPN) 2025-2045 document. Suharso also expressed encouragement for partner regions, outlined as a national development priority in the RPJPN document, to become the focus of the next government administration.
