PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR) supported micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) participated in the Karya Nyata Festival (KNF) Vol 6 by SMEXPO in Pekanbaru, Riau, aiming to boost the local economy. PHR's Corporate Secretary, Rudi Ariffianto, stated that PHR's presence in KNF aimed to advance Riau's economy by showcasing five outstanding MSMEs supported by PHR.These MSMEs included Bank Sampah Ibnu Al Mubarok, Andy's Ice Cream, Usaha Icik Meri (Takoyaki JanMur), Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata (STP) F&B, and Tambul Lomak. KNF Vol 6 in Pekanbaru featured various activities such as Business Matching, Business Dialogues, and Creative Competitions with millions of Rupiah in prizes, aligning with the Riau Provincial Government's program to reduce unemployment.During the event, PHR representatives participated as speakers in the Business Dialogue, sharing their knowledge and experience in marketing and entrepreneurship with attendees and KNF participants, aiming to provide valuable input for MSMEs in their business development.
PHR's MSME development program is part of its efforts to empower the economy, focusing on increasing people's income. This program includes providing supporting equipment, enhancing the quality of MSMEs' human resources, and marketing their products.The KNF Vol 6 in Pekanbaru also marked the opening of the Rumah BUMN Pekanbaru, a commitment by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) to empower local MSMEs. Managed by PT Pertamina (Persero), Rumah BUMN has been regularly training local MSMEs to help them improve their businesses. The comprehensive approach taken by PHR and its participation in KNF Vol 6 demonstrate a concerted effort to contribute to the economic growth of Riau, particularly Pekanbaru, by supporting MSMEs. These initiatives align with broader government programs aimed at reducing unemployment and fostering economic development in Indonesia's regions.
