PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) is set to distribute 9.55 million tons of subsidized fertilizer this year following government decrees. The subsidies cover Urea, NPK, and Organic fertilizers, with organic fertilizer prioritized in paddy-growing regions with low Organic C content. Marketing Director Tri Wahyudi Saleh affirmed the company's commitment to distributing the allocated amount to registered farmers. The government's decision to double fertilizer subsidies from 4.7 to 9.55 million tons aims to bolster agricultural productivity. Urea, NPK, and Organic fertilizers receive respective allocations of 4,634,626 tons, 4,415,374 tons (including Special NPK Formula), and 500,000 tons. This increase benefits various regions, including West Java, Central Java, East Java, South Sulawesi, and Lampung. Allocations are accessible to registered farmers and those complying with eligibility criteria, such as being part of Farmer Groups and listed in the electronic definitive group needs plan (e-RDKK). The subsidized fertilizer is earmarked for farmers cultivating food crops like rice, corn, and soybeans, as well as horticultural and plantation crops with a maximum land size of 2 hectares.
Under new regulations, the e-RDKK can be evaluated every four months, allowing farmers without allocations to register during these periods. PT Pupuk Indonesia, with its vast production capacity exceeding 14.6 million tons per year, is a cornerstone of national food security. Organic fertilizer production involves partnerships across regions. Tri urges registered farmers to redeem their allocations through the i-Pubers app at authorized kiosks. He also calls on distributors and kiosks to facilitate information dissemination and garner support from local governments to ensure effective subsidy utilization for agricultural production and food security.
