The Ministry of Industry, through the EXPOMED EUROSIA 2024 event held in Istanbul, Turkey from April 25-27, 2024, facilitated the promotion of nine domestic medical device industries to enter the European market.Febri Hendri Antoni Arif, Special Staff to the Minister of Industry and Ministry of Industry's Spokesperson, stated that Indonesia's participation in the event, facilitated by the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara, aimed to introduce the potential of the Indonesian medical device industry as part of efforts to penetrate the international market, especially the European market through Turkey as its gateway. The nine national medical device companies participating in the event include PT Sugih Instrumendo Abadi, PT Marthys Orthopaedic Indonesia, and PT Rejeki Putra Putri Eliman, among others, along with the participation of the Indonesian Medical Device Manufacturers Association (ASPAKI) and the Association of Health and Laboratory Equipment Entrepreneurs (GAKESLAB).
Arif emphasized that Indonesian medical devices meet the quality and specifications demanded by global consumers, making the EXPOMED EUROSIA 2024 exhibition a platform to attract investment to Indonesia. Yan Sibarang Tandiele, Director of Machinery and Agricultural Machinery Industries at the Ministry of Industry, stressed Indonesia's participation in the Turkish exhibition as crucial for shaping the industrial ecosystem and fostering collaboration opportunities with international partners. EXPOMED EUROSIA 2024, held at the Tüyap Fair Convention and Congress Center in Istanbul, Turkey, focused on medical equipment, medical supplies, and healthcare products in the Eurasian region. The event featured 700 participants from 16 countries and aimed to attract over 20,000 visitors. It showcased over 1000 brands across various categories, including electromedical equipment and technology, orthopedics-physical therapy-rehabilitation, hospital management and medical facilities, and other healthcare products.
