The focal point of discussion during the meeting was the theme 'Preparing Human Resources and Infrastructure Within the Framework of Kalimantan's Economic Development'. Acting Mayor of Pontianak, Ani Sofian, was one of the attending regional leaders from April 19 to 22, 2024. Ani stressed the importance of robust preparation of human resources and infrastructure as the bedrock for economic development in Kalimantan. Ani Sofian also conveyed the commitment of the Pontianak City Government to actively contribute to strengthening Kalimantan's economic competitiveness. By improving the quality of human resources and reliable infrastructure, it is envisaged that Kalimantan could evolve into an increasingly advanced and sustainable economic hub. "Hence, synergy and collaboration among the Municipal Governments of Kalimantan are necessary to achieve the goal of sustainable economic development for the welfare of the people," she asserted. The Raker served as a platform for idea-sharing and strategic planning to expedite development and economic progress in Kalimantan. Its aim is to bolster cooperation among regions to realize quality and sustainable development. "This meeting is also a crucial platform for exchanging information, experiences, and coordinating policies for the betterment of society," Ani Sofian elucidated. She expressed hope that through solid cooperation and strong commitment from all relevant parties, Kalimantan could continue advancing as a more developed, prosperous region, providing tangible benefits to its entire populace. "May this Apeksi Regional Kalimantan Meeting in Banjarbaru City serve as the initial foundation for broader and sustainable cooperation implementation in the future," she concluded.
