Madura Customs Office Facilitates Coconut Fiber Export to China

The Madura Customs Office in East Java facilitated the export of coconut fiber craft products by micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) from Pamekasan Regency to China. According to Hendra Asmara, an Enforcement Officer at the Madura Customs Office, the coconut fiber crafts exported to China from the village of Gagah, Kadur District, Pamekasan, mark the first such export and were symbolically released on Tuesday in Pamekasan. A total of 64 tons of coconut fiber crafts were exported in one container.
This is the third export of MSME products facilitated by the Madura Customs Office in Pamekasan Regency. Previously, they had facilitated the export of food products and locally produced cigarettes to Turkey, Malaysia, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia in 2021, and 2 million cigarettes to Malaysia in 2023. Masrukin, the Acting Regent of Pamekasan, emphasized their special attention to collaborating with the Madura Customs Office to provide guidance to MSMEs. He highlighted that empowering micro-enterprises has been a priority program of Pamekasan Regency for the past five years, and any efforts related to improving the economy for MSMEs are the focus of the local government.
