In a noteworthy accomplishment, investment in Madiun City has experienced a substantial increase, as indicated by data released by the Integrated Licensing and One-Stop Service Investment Office (DPMPTSP) of Madiun City. In 2023, the investment value in the city reached IDR 236.3 billion, marking a significant surge of 10.23% compared to the previous year's realization. Nuning Udayanah Nurfiati, the Investment Coordinator at DPMPTSP Madiun City, conveyed that there was a substantial increase in investment realization from 2022 to 2023 by 10.23%, with a value increment of IDR 21,943,621,289. For the year 2022, the investment realization amounted to IDR 214.4 billion, while in 2023, it reached IDR 236.3 billion. Thus, there was an increase of approximately IDR 21.9 billion. Additionally, in both years, the investment exceeded the set targets. The investment target for 2022 was IDR 193 billion, and for 2023, it was IDR 194 billion, exceeding both targets as per Nuning's statement on Monday (29/1).
Nuning further added that the investment realization in 2023 had reached 122% of the set target. The trade and repair sector emerged as the highest contributor with 51.05%, followed by other services and the hotel and restaurant sector at third place with a contribution of 19.28%. Various promotional efforts for the region and effective inflation control were pivotal factors in this growth. Nuning also highlighted the significant changes in Madiun City, including regional development and the appeal to both local and international tourists, contributing to attracting investor interest. "Moreover, effective regional promotion strategies, including the utilization of digital platforms, played a crucial role. We also have service programs such as SAPA LKPM for direct licensing services to the public, SIAP KAKA assistance in neighborhoods, and LAURA JOS programs for services in MSME stalls," she added. The comprehensive approach, coupled with strategic initiatives, positions Madiun City as an attractive destination for investors, fostering economic growth and development.
