This substantial figure does not include the allocation from the State Budget (APBN) amounting to IDR 15.93 trillion for Kepri, nor does it factor in the revenue from the Regional Original Income (PAD). However, it's crucial to note that this export value has not been adjusted for the substantial import values. According to data released by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of the Kepri Province, the cumulative export value for Kepri from January to December 2023 amounted to USD 18,957.28 million. Throughout January-December 2023, the leading non-oil and gas export commodities in the Riau Islands Province were dominated by the machinery/electrical equipment category (HS 85), totaling USD 7,513.69 million, contributing to 51.03% of the total.

During the same period, other significant export commodities included machinery/mechanical appliances (HS 84) at USD 1,642.45 million (11.16%); iron and steel articles (HS 73) at USD 956.40 million (6.50%); ships (HS 89) at USD 829.10 million (5.63%). Additionally, animal/vegetable fats and oils (HS 15) amounted to USD 736.17 million (5.00%); various chemical products (HS 38) at USD 543.79 million (3.69%); plastics and plastic goods (HS 39) at USD 289.62 million (1.97%). Cocoa/chocolate (HS 18) stood at USD 285.26 million (1.94%); mineral fuels (non-oil and gas) at USD 282.82 million (1.92%); and optical devices (HS 90) at USD 280.17 million (1.90%). In summary, the currency circulation in Kepri from export activities in 2023 reflects a substantial amount, driven by diverse export commodities, with machinery and electrical equipment dominating the landscape.
