The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) has introduced the Single Submission (SSm) system to streamline the export of seafood products through airports. This implementation, part of Presidential Instruction Number 5 of 2020 on the Arrangement of the National Logistics Ecosystem, has been applied by the National Logistics Ecosystem (NLE) team at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport. The SSm system prevents document duplications and integrates seamlessly with other export service applications. Ishartini, Acting Head of the Fisheries Product Quality Control and Supervision Agency (BPPMHKP), highlighted that this user-friendly and expedited service allows export submissions from anywhere. A single application input can be used for various different agencies, minimizing repetition and document duplication. The application is also integrated with Certificates of Origin (SKA), quarantine processes, and export notification (PEB). Siti Chadidjah, Head of the KKP Makassar Representative Office, emphasized that this streamlined service is part of the NLE digital program aimed at enhancing national logistics efficiency and ensuring the smooth flow of goods, both for export and import.
Chadidjah expressed hope that the export process for fisheries commodities through Sultan Hasanuddin Airport could be accelerated by synergizing business processes at the KKP Makassar and Customs and reducing logistics costs. She believes that the efficiency gained from this business process will contribute to regional economic growth, particularly in the maritime and fisheries sector. Monitoring progress at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport's implementation of NLE reveals that the SSm carrier service is in the implementation stage, while the SSm Export, SSm QC Import, Autogate, and Online CDO services are in preparation. These services will be gradually implemented to fulfill all NLE service targets at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport. It's worth noting that the KKP Makassar Representative Office conducted a socialization event for SSm on December 21, 2023. Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, emphasized the importance of quality regulations to accelerate the development of the maritime and fisheries sector. He urged all levels within the KKP to be serious about crafting regulations in this field to meet the needs of various aspects, including industry, coastal communities, and ecological sustainability. The introduction of streamlined digital processes aligns with the government's commitment to fostering economic growth and facilitating the export of vital products, such as seafood, contributing positively to the national economy.
