Fore Coffee, Second Indonesian Coffee Brand That Opens Outlet in Singapore, Sells 3,000 Cups in the First Week

Fore Coffee, a local coffee startup in Indonesia, officially opened its first international outlet in Singapore on Thursday, November 9, 2023. This marks the establishment of the second local coffee brand in the lion city. The opening represents a historic achievement for the local brand in bringing the delightful culture of Indonesian coffee to the global stage, signaling the beginning of the next phase of Fore Coffee's business expansion. The historic moment was attended by Vico Lomar, the Co-Founder & CEO of Fore Coffee, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, Suryopratomo, the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Singapore, and Cinta Laura, Social & Sustainability Ambassador.

In his address, Vico emphasized the pivotal role of Fore Coffee's first international outlet as a place to celebrate diversity while introducing Indonesian coffee culture to coffee enthusiasts in Singapore. "The inaugural Fore Coffee outlet aims not only to serve the range of Fore Coffee's flagship coffee menus, beloved by the Indonesian community but also to provide a deeper understanding of Indonesian coffee and culture," he stated, based on the press release received by Liputan6.com on Saturday, November 11, 2023. Minister Sandiaga appreciates the opening of the local coffee outlet. He reiterates the importance of promoting local products to enhance Indonesia's tourism popularity. "Fore Coffee is committed to bringing the best Indonesian coffee to the world because we need more exports for our coffee beans. Indonesia has the potential to strengthen its global reputation for coffee beans that can compete with those from Brazil and Vietnam," he said on the same occasion. Sandiaga hopes that this outlet can educate and introduce Singaporeans to the rich coffee culture of Indonesia. Besides boosting tourism popularity, Sandiaga also believes that this outlet can contribute to promoting and diversifying Indonesia's culinary showcase abroad under the "Indonesia Spice Up the World" program. "Indonesia is still in the third position on the international coffee export strength map after Brazil and Vietnam. We must enhance this as the added value is extraordinary, and the quality of Indonesian coffee is well-known internationally. This is an opportunity to highlight the flavor of Indonesia's coffee heritage and not just win the hearts of Singaporeans but also for people around the world," he stated.
