The Gresik Customs and Excise Office has successfully conducted its maiden export operation using the Single Submission Quarantine Customs (SSm QC) system. This achievement simultaneously establishes the Gresik Customs and Excise Office as the first office in Indonesia to successfully implement the technology, which is part of the National Logistics Ecosystem (NLE). The inaugural export operation took place at the Jetty area of PT Wilmar Nabati Indonesia. In addition to company directors, it was attended by the Head of the Gresik Customs and Excise Office, the Head of the Gresik Port Authority (KSOP), the Head of the Gresik Trade and Industry Office, and the Head of the Surabaya Agriculture Quarantine Center. Head of the Gresik Customs and Excise Office, mentioned that in the implementation of the Single Submission Quarantine Customs (QC) this time, the Gresik Customs and Excise Office collaborated with the Surabaya Agriculture Quarantine Center and PT Wilmar Nabati for the export release of 7,700 tons of Palm Kernel Expeller (PLE) worth IDR 16.4 billion destined for China.
In this SSm QC export trial, PT Wilmar only submitted one document and data entry into the SSm QC. This document contains all the required data. The SSm QC system will then parallelly transmit it to the respective office and agency portals, making the process more efficient. He added that it only took 2 hours for the company to obtain export approval. In line with this, the collection of export duties, as state revenue, will also show tangible figures. Meanwhile, Ridwan Brandes Nainggolan, the Business Unit Head of PT Wilmar Nabati Indonesia, noted that the system reduced export permits from two days to just 120 minutes. This system has successfully integrated the document requirements for export products, thereby enhancing the company's productivity. Head of the Gresik Port Authority, hoped that the successful implementation of the SSm QC system at PT Wina could serve as a model for other ports. We will continue to implement this system in other ports as part of our efforts to support national logistics performance and enhance national competitiveness.
