Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Jerry Sambuaga, has affirmed that Indonesia and Ghana are continuing to strengthen their partnership in the fields of business and trade. It is an honor for us to represent the Government of Indonesia in discussing investments, business, trade, and promotions with Ghana as he stated at the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) business forum in Jakarta. He explained that Indonesia is an excellent place for investment due to its stable current economic growth at 5.3% and an inflation rate of less than 3%. He is confident that we can expand and enhance opportunities together," he said. According to him, the Indonesian government warmly welcomes business and trade partnerships with Ghana. Currently, Ghana is focused on sustainable economic development and attracting investments and global partnerships with the Indonesian government, the private sector, and the community based on mutual benefits.
Jerry emphasized that a good business and trade relationship with Ghana is expected to have a positive impact on the bilateral relations between the two countries. He expressed hope to capitalize on the available opportunities to strengthen bilateral trade cooperation, prioritize steps to accelerate collaborative partnerships for the optimal benefit of both nations. In the same context, Sylvie Tomasoa, Chairperson of the Bilateral Committee for Africa and Ecowas at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), urged the Indonesian government to seriously develop business and trade potential with Africa. She also encouraged entrepreneurs to change their perceptions of African countries to create mutually beneficial synergy. The government through relevant agencies should support business and trade with Africa. Let's change the negative thinking about Africa. It is hoped that Indonesian entrepreneurs would recognize the excellent business potential opportunities with Africa, especially Ghana.
