The Indonesian Embassy in London, in collaboration with Bank Indonesia and the Indonesia Investment Promotion Center (IIPC) London, is set to host the Indonesia Investment Forum (IIF) 2023 in London on October 5, 2023. This annual event aims to attract investments in green sectors, digital transformation, and sustainable trade and supply chains. IIF 2023 will feature a business matching session showcasing selected Investment Projects Ready to Offer (IPRO) projects across 11 sectors, including renewable energy, electric vehicles, digital technology, infrastructure, transportation, and tourism. The forum seeks to strengthen economic ties between Indonesia and the UK, which has seen a consistent increase in investment, with the UK being the 10th largest investor in Indonesia.
The event also marks the start of the Experience Indonesia series of activities, including cultural performances and an SME product exhibition at "Indonesian Night." Experience Indonesia Dublin, a cultural event in Ireland, will follow, aiming to further promote Indonesian culture and economic opportunities. Ambassador Desra Percaya anticipates that IIF 2023 will foster closer investment cooperation between the two nations and enhance Indonesia's position in the global economy. Key figures from both countries, including UK Minister Nusrat Ghani, Governor of Bank Indonesia Perry Warjiyo, and Minister of Investment Bahlil Lahadalia, will be among the approximately 20 speakers participating in the forum, discussing the potential for economic partnerships between Indonesia and the UK, along with representatives from the banking and business sectors in Indonesia, the UK, and Europe.
