Regency of Pamekasan, Indonesia, is recognized for its diverse and promising tourism potential, which has the potential to boost local investment. The Director of Poltekpar Bali, Ida Bagus Putu, shared these insights during a public discussion held in collaboration with the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) Pamekasan. The discussion focused on the synergy among the five elements of the pentahelix model in tourism development and also marked the signing of a cooperation agreement between Poltekpar and PWI Pamekasan.
The success of tourism sector development relies on the commitment and ongoing collaboration of various stakeholders within the pentahelix model over the long term. This collaborative approach is expected to contribute positively to tourism development in East Java, particularly in Madura Island.
The pentahelix model emphasizes the importance of five key elements in the world of tourism, including academia, businesses, communities, government, and media. Collaboration with PWI Pamekasan plays a crucial role in fulfilling one of the five elements, namely media publicity, in line with the implementation of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (the three pillars of higher education) values.
