The East Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) has initiated a test market export of MSME products worth IDR 1.5 billion to three countries: Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and Singapore. This test market export is a part of the accelerated efforts to elevate East Java's MSMEs to a higher level and to reassure that the export process is feasible. This effort particularly supports the MSME stakeholders. Exportation is crucial in expanding market reach. Consequently, the East Java Provincial Government consistently facilitates such initiatives, including the execution of trade missions. From the outcomes of market visits to several countries, it was identified that certain food and beverage products needed market testing. Hence, this export release serves as a test market aiming to unlock greater market opportunities for MSME products. So, both small-scale MSMEs and larger enterprises need to continue. Encouragement should be extended to the smaller ones too, to provide them with the prospect of advancing.
 
Government support has also been demonstrated through the KUR Award. The East Java Provincial Government achieved the second-best award in the category of achievement strategies for the distribution of People's Business Credit (KUR) in 2022. The realization of KUR in East Java in 2022 reached IDR 64.11 trillion. All of which was distributed among 1.8 million MSMEs. This reflects an increase of around IDR 14.08 trillion from 2021, which stood at IDR 49.22 trillion for 1.6 million MSMEs. All layers of society and stakeholders have to enhance their synergy continually. This is because MSMEs consistently remain the backbone of East Java's economy. During the event, there were 37 stands from East Java Provincial Government departments and MSMEs from various regions. This event also marked the distribution of KUR assistance from Bank Jatim to the public, ranging between IDR 250 million to IDR 500 million. Additionally, Prokesra support from BPR Jatim was disbursed, ranging from IDR 17 million to IDR 50 million. The 10th K-UKM Expo 2023, hosted from August 11 to 13, 2023, at the Exhibition Hall Grand City Convex Lt 1, Surabaya, is the pinnacle of the National MSME Day celebrations.
