ID FOOD, the state-owned food holding company, is consistently creating opportunities for the export of food commodities to various countries, aiming to enhance the company's competitiveness and business scale at a global level. The efforts to increase export opportunities for food commodities and products are being pursued through strategic partnerships with agricultural associations in the target export countries. Through the leadership and delegation visit of NASDA to ID FOOD's office, it is hoped that this will further strengthen and initiate new avenues of cooperation in the food sector between Indonesia and the United States. Both parties discussed numerous trading opportunities for various commodities, ranging from beef, grandparent stock chickens, dairy products, to fisheries.  In 2023, ID FOOD's fisheries commodities, such as tuna, exported 406 metric tons (MT), while octopus reached 294 MT. The export of fisheries commodities targets significant consumer countries, including Japan and the United States. As for coffee commodities, in 2023, ID FOOD exported 100 MT, with Egypt being one of the destinations. In the same year, 900 MT of seaweed were exported.
 
Meanwhile, the NASDA CEO stated that this visit provides an excellent opportunity to establish relations with Indonesia. He also expressed interest in learning about Indonesian state-owned enterprises in comparison to those in other countries. During this occasion, the NASDA delegation was interested in further exploring the scope of ID FOOD's business and the food industry landscape in Indonesia. Both parties also expressed hope for the establishment of business relationships. NASDA is an association that brings together state agricultural departments in the United States. Founded in 1916, its strategic role includes strengthening the American food and agriculture sector through policies, partnerships, and public engagement.
