The Ministry of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives of East Kalimantan continues to encourage the development of non-oil, gas and coal export trends to penetrate foreign markets. Moreover, the non-oil, gas and coal sectors are dominated by MSME players. In this case, the increasing trend of non-oil, gas and coal exports are also a concern for the East Kalimantan of Ministry of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives. Given that MSMEs also play a role in the economic turnover in East Kalimantan. To support the increasingly massive non-oil, gas and coal exports, need support from other parties is needed. The collaboration is important to improve MSME and develop their processed products.
The government continues to respond positively if there are activities involving MSMEs, namely with the aim that their potential to expand the market to foreign countries is even greater. Moreover, the East Kalimantan Provincial Government also sait that they did not want to rely too much on non-oil, gas and coal export, because coal is a non-renewable product, if its runs out there’s nothing to export again. The East Kalimantan Provincial Government is creating a conducive environment for doing business, for example, focus group discussion (FGDs) with vertical agencies and with other export associations. Through the FGD, the government discussed to find solutions if there are things that must be improved in East Kalimantan exports. While other efforts, The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives of East Kalimantan held an exhibition of MSME products in order to penetrate foreign markets and it help MSMEs who want to consult regarding the problem that they faced.
