One of the ways that Customs routinely conducts in encouraging smooth exports in various regions is by socializing customs provisions to business actors and other government agencies. Playing a role in the smooth export business process, Tanjung Emas Customs together with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) and the Ministry of Trade socialized the export provisions of forestry industry products to exporters which was held at the end of July. From MoEF data, it was conveyed that exports data for the last five years, forestry products continued to increase and became export commodities that could survive during the Covid-19 pandemic. The increase in export activities is also supported by the fulfilment of legality aspects through the Timber Legality Verification System (SVLK) to make it easier to convince buyers in foreign markets. In the process, Customs provides customs facilities such as temporary import and temporary export which must be notified by the exporter in advance. In addition, MSME players can export through the mechanism of consignments with the condition that the weight does not exceed 30 kilograms.
Customs also guarantees through ease of customs information and consultation that can be accessed online and offline through official information services available at each Customs service office. Malang Customs is also in the form of supporting the development and empowerment of MSMEs so that they can realize their exports independently. In addition to these various facilities, Malang Customs is also trying to find potential buyers through overseas BNI branches in Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Osaka – Japan, New York – United States, Seoul – South Korea, and London.
