The Minister of Tourism highlighted that there will be investment-related criteria such as ability, achievements in research, technology, and business that will start in Indonesia.

He mentioned that with Batam receiving around 2 million visitors, there's bound to be investor interest. Investment is seen as a crucial component for Batam's development, and the city has been working towards facilitating investment. However, they are awaiting further technical details from the central government for its implementation in the region. He explained that the regulations regarding the golden visa fall under the central government's authority, including the formulation of requirements and other conditions. Since this is a new policy, they are still awaiting clarity on its specifics.
