The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy supports the Indonesian Shopping Center Management Association (APPBI) to hold the Indonesian Shopping Festival (ISF) 2023 on August 10-20, 2023 which will be held simultaneously in all shopping centers in indonesia. In commemoration of Indonesia’s 78th Anniversary. Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, during “The Weekly Brief With Sandi Uno” at the Sapta Pesona Building, Central Jakarta, Monday (7/8/2023) the focus on developing and exploring Indonesian culture and food, ISF 2023 targets to improve tourism performance, sales in the retail sector, and prioritize MSMEs and creative economy.

The opening of the Indonesia Shopping Festival (ISF) 2023 will be held simultaneously in several major cities on August 10, 2023 at 14.00 WIB with Bandung City chosen as the main location for the opening of the Indonesia Shopping Festival 2023. While for several other cities also held live at the same time, namely in DKI Jakarta located in Grand Indonesia, Semarang at DP Mall Semarang, Bali at Sidewalk Jimbaran Bali and Bandung at 23 Shopping Center. Chairman of the DPP Indonesia Tourism Industry Association (GIPI) Hariyadi Sukamdani explained, shopping tourism is the most potential driver for the growth of tourism in a destination. This shopping tour from time to time increases quite positively. The target last year was 65 million visitors in 400 malls in indonesia for 10 days. This year are targeting to increase by 15% or reach 75 million visitors. And last year transactions were IDR 19.5 trillion, so this year it is targeted to reach IDR 20.5 trillion.
