Indonesia’s Creative Industry Exports Projected to Reach IDR403 Trillion

The creative industry is one of the sectors that supports the Indonesian economy. Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said that this year Indonesia's creative industry is ready to target exports of up to USD 26.5 billion or around Rp403 trillion. This target figure is up about from last year's achievement which was at USD 25 billion. Apart from exports, the improvement in the performance of Indonesia's creative industry will also be driven by human resources, namely the target of creating 4.4 million jobs in 2024. The minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, is optimistic that the export target of the creative industry can be achieved due to the development of export destinations to non-traditional markets and also foreign markets. In the near future, there will be a market opening that contains Indonesian creative industry products in India, China, to the northern region of Asia.
Despite the expansion of Indonesia's creative product market abroad, Sandiaga assures that products made in the country also remain dominant in the domestic market and are safe from the onslaught of imported goods, especially on e-commerce platforms. To make creative products remain excellent, Sandiaga explained that efforts are needed to maintain quality to clarity of intellectual property rights of creative products. In the future, the government will also recruit regulations related to illegal imported goods. Legal certainty will also be the focus of future improvements. Everything sold in Indonesia must have legal certainty so we must socialize our consumers to appreciate genuine and proud products made in Indonesia
