Business Actors In Garut Are Encouraged to Export to ASEAN Countries

The Department of Industry, Trade and Energy of Mineral Resources of Garut Regency, West Java, encourages business actors to take advantage of export opportunities to ASEAN markets. The government continues to strive to build networks with exporters, including exporters targeting ASEAN countries to be able to market Garut products. Another effort is the government trying to involve Garut typical product business actors in every exhibition and every meeting agenda at home and abroad so that they can be encouraged to be known to foreign markets. Conducting business meetings and business matching with trade attaches and local entrepreneurs. Eksport market opportunities to ASEAN countries are wuite open for Indonesian products, especially from Garut, moreover, the region can be considered still in the same cluster with Indonesia.
So far Garut products have succeeded in entering the markets of ASEAN countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, and Thailand. Products that have successfully penetrated into ASEAN countries, include those that have been intense are the sale of bananas, eyelashes, shoes, and a number of other fashion products. Currently a number of Garut’s flagship products also have the opportunity to be displayed at Angsana Mall, Johor Bahru, and Malacca, Malaysia for six months until January 2023 which is expected to increase wider marketing. In addition, the government is currently seeking information related to the planned activities of the 43rd ASEAN Summit which will take place at the Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta so that it can be part of exhibiting Garut products.
