The Indonesian Furniture and Crafts Industry Association (Himki) is committed to enhancing the export performance of national furniture and crafts products through the "Aku Siap Ekspor" (ASE) program. This collaborative effort involves various stakeholders working together to equip business players with the knowledge, experience, and support necessary to improve the competitiveness of export products. The program includes workshops, webinars, mentoring, discussions, and exhibitions to facilitate knowledge sharing and skill development. Participants are encouraged to involve micro-enterprises outside of Java and Bali as supplier partners or fostered micro-partners to create a mutually supportive environment that drives export growth. The program aims to strengthen Indonesia's capacity in international trade and boost national exports, particularly in the decoration and furniture sectors.
In the pursuit of continuous success, the Himki board, together with representatives from the Ministry of Trade, engaged with the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Kemenkop UKM) to encourage their participation in the ASE program. The previous ASE 1.0 and 2.0 initiatives, a collaboration between the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Dekranas, and Himki, received high appreciation for their achievements, leading to the continuation of the program with ASE 3.0. The Kemenkop UKM is keen to collaborate in ASE 3.0 and has shown willingness to open a permanent showroom in key hub countries like Singapore.
Through this concerted effort and cooperation between various government bodies, industry associations, and micro-enterprises, Indonesia aims to bolster its position in the global market, elevate export quality, and create opportunities for growth and success in the international trade landscape.
