DKI Jakarta Regional Secretary Joko Agus Setyono said the government is working on regulations in the economic and government sectors. The regulation is to prepare Jakarta as a global-scale business city after no longer having the status of the National Capital. After the regulation is implemented, Jakarta will undergo changes as a Global Business City. Jakarta already has the development of MSMEs and building mass transportation as a best practice. The DKI Provincial Government is also developing digital transformation in the form of Jakarta Smart City.
Through the two-day ASEAN City Governors and Mayors meeting in Jakarta, the DKI Provincial Government listened to various problems and solutions taken by the heads of government in each ASEAN city. After listening to best practices from each country, the DKI Provincial Government will hold bilateral talks to adopt its ideas if deemed appropriate to be implemented in Jakarta. To realize Jakarta as a Global Scale Business City, sustainable development goals will be carried out that are being built and pursued.
