The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) is targeting transactions for the use of Domestic Products (PDN) in government spending to reach IDR 250 trillion.  Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry Dody Widodo, said the target would be discussed in the Phase V Business Meeting. "The target of IDR 250 trillion will be pursued in the implementation of Stage V Business Meeting which invited 1,200 participants, namely representatives from Ministries, Institutions, Regional Governments, BUMN/D, industrial companies, and associations related to the procurement of government goods and services," said Dody, Tuesday (7/2/2023).
Furthermore, in order to support the achievement of transaction targets in Stage V Business Meetings, it is also necessary to hold regular Virtual Business Meetings. Dody said that each Ministry/Institution can encourage the use of PDN by holding Business Meetings between providers and budget owners on a regular basis. The government has been holding Business Gathering activities since March 2022. Phase V of 2023 Business Gathering activities aim to connect owners of the government spending budget, as well as SOEs with domestic product producers, both from upstream to downstream. Unlike the previous year, at the implementation of this Business Meeting, there will also be a P3DN Award for users, as well as producers who have paid attention to efforts to increase the use of domestic products.
